Graphic Design- What is it?
No, you’re not alone. While most people have heard the term graphic design, very few know what it actually means. If asked, most people would say it means to ‘design graphics’ and while that is not necessarily wrong, it’s a very vague understanding of it. Graphic Design put simply, is the visual communication of information. Said information can be in form of data, messages, ideas, directions or facts.
A well put infographic is visually compelling, but more importantly easy to read. In today’s world, the average attention span is 48 seconds, meaning if what you’re trying to explain or promote is difficult to understand, most customers won’t get past the second page.
